RangersMedia are delighted to announce that the recent Charity Cup match, and related auction and raffle, raised £2160 for our Malawi nursery project.

A small crowd of spectators watched on as RangersMedia F.C took on TalkCeltic F.C at Toryglen regional football centre. Both sides were eagerly anticipating this match, marking the restart of the league after the winter break.

The match started a fairly cautious affair, with few chances of note, however RangersMedia took the lead midway through the first half, with Scott Wilson curving a well taken freekick around the wall, before TalkCeltic equalised with a well struck penalty just before half time.

Half time seen the raffle draw, with some lucky spectators winning an array of great prizes. Signed shirts, boots and pictures were all up for grabs and the raffle was a huge success, drawing in £910 on it's own.

The second half kicked off, and RangersMedia took the lead early into the second half, when Scott Wilson slotted away a left foot shot from close range, the game continued at a the frantic pace you'd expect, and that man again, Scott Wilson, scored a header to complete a perfect hat trick. TalkCeltic hit back with 5 minutes to go, to make the score 3-2, and set up a tense finale, with RangersMedia holding on to win 3-2 and RangersMedia won the charity cup. Make no mistake though, the real winner was charity.
