RangersMedia are proud to be one of the lead sponsors of the Garry Lynch Memorial Tournament that is being held this weekend.
A Rangers team consisting of Reserve and under-19 players, possibly a similar team that took on Selkirk yesterday, will take part in a four-team tournament in memory of Rangers youth supporter Garry Lynch. The event, which will take place this Saturday and Sunday July 31st and August 1st at Somervell Park will feature Alloa Athletic, Clydebank, Rangers and the home team Cambuslang Rangers.
Garry was lifelong supporter of the mighty Rangers and followed every level of Rangers team, no matter where they might have been playing.
With regret, Garry sadly passed away in February at the age of 52 which prompted family, friends and the Rangers community at large to rally together and raise £25,000 for the Rangers Youth Department in his honour with fans buying Rising Stars tickets.
Garry was a close friend of Cambuslang Rangers boss Alan Wardlaw who has helped organise the two-day tournament and the match details are as follows:
Saturday, July 31
Clydebank v Alloa Athletic, K.O: 12 NOON
Cambuslang Rangers v Rangers, K.O: 15.30
Sunday, August 1
Loser Game 1 v Loser Game 2, K.O: 12 NOON
Winner Game 1 v Winner Game 2, K.O: 15.30
Ticket prices are £5 adults, kids and pensioners £3. For entry each day, cash at the gate.
